I have been very bad with updates recently, apologies. Ever since I came back from Vietnam I am heads down with work and wasn’t really able to come up with blog posts. This blogpost is really just to give you a quick update of what’s going on right now and what to expect in the future.
So what did I do for the last couple of weeks?
The VinaBrew Project
This project probably consumed the biggest chunk of my time. I had the idea of creating a more modern coffee set for vietnamese coffee in December last year but only started to work on it more serious in February. In an earlier blog post of the year I mentioned that one of my goal for 2016 was to create new sustainable habits. I took this project as a motivation to create a new morning routine and so far it has worked out well. But during my time in Australia and Vietnam I haven’t been able to keep up with the work on this one and so I had to catch up ever since I came back.
During the last couple of weeks I tweaked the website (www.vinabrew.com) and made refinements to the industrial design of the product. I also started to have conversations with manufacturers for the production. It’s been a great experience so far, but a very tough one, since manufactures are hard to find. But I will keep going. If humanity can build solid rockets and shoot people to mars so will I be able to make damn coffee set.
Exploring Bavaria
Another reason why I haven’t been able to update my blog is because I wanted to take more time to explore the surrounding of Munich. I’ve been living in Munich for almost 10 years now but never took a serious shot on enjoying the nature in Bavaria. But I only realized it when I was in Australia and saw videos of Munich and Bavaria when I was in the gym on a treadmill. It is weird, sometimes you only learn to appreciate things that are a door step away when you go away.
So when I came back I promised myself to take more advantage of the weekends to explore the mountains as long as the summer is still in Munich. Getting away on the weekend also gave me quite a bit of time to get my head free and think about how to move on in the future. I strongly believe that in order to achieve bigger success we have to embrace ourselves more to new things every once in a while in order to stay fresh and motivated. Learning new things every day, getting to know new people and traveling to new places. Anyhow, enjoy the pictures.
Personal Website Update
Last but not least I updated the underlying core of my personal website and moved everything to WordPress. My portfolio website was already 3 years old and I felt it was time to give it a fresh update. I crossed linked my blog and my product website so people can reach it more easily without having to remember all URL’s. Unfortunately I can’t share any of the work I am currently working on, so most of my projects are still the same, but the new structure will give me greater flexibility in the future when it comes to adding new projects and updates or new sections.
What’s Next ?
I will keep continue working on VinaBrew and keep you updated about the process. I hope I will be lucky finding the right manufacturers and create a first prototype for testing. There is still a lot of work to do and thoughts to put in. I also thought a lot about how to move on with the blog and how I can create more value for you guys in the future. I plan to add more downloadable content to the blog and share more about the development process of a product and how to create a side hustle. So stay tuned.
I am also happy to connect with happy coffee drinkers and if you have ideas to share, feel free to get in touch via instagram, linkedin or twitter.
Stay healthy and take care!
